Melissa Villa aka Amiga✿

(b. 1994 in New Haven, CT)

is a first-generation Colombian American artist and illustrator currently based in Hamden, Connecticut. She holds an AAS degree in Fine Art from The Fashion Institute of Technology and earned a B.A. in Studio Art and Minor in Art History from Southern Connecticut State University. She works primarily with mixed media and digital art to create work that draws from personal experience and fragments captured from daily life. Her work includes themes of mental health, nature, folklore, love, romance, and relationships.
